Cobham Park Stables is a friendly, professionally run competition and livery yard which is managed by Melanie Pretty (BHSAI). Melanie has many years experience in yard management and the training and competing of many types of horse and rider. Along with knowledgeable staff Melanie offers flexible livery options, from a 5 day part livery to a 7 day training / competing livery. Cobham Park Stables has all the facilities of a large yard but with only 19 stables is able to give each and every horse and owner very individual attention. Melanie and her staff take great pride in keeping the yard well organised, clean and tidy whilst still maintaining a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Melanie regularly competes and is happy for people to join her, if competitions are not your thing Melanie always enjoys some company when hacking as do most of the other liveries.
Melanie offers on and off site training for all of her liveries, but is also happy for outside instructors to be used; Cobham Park Stables also offers Dressage training from Dominique Swinton-Bland. Cobham Park welcomes any vet, physio or any other therapist. We have a resident yard farrier who is extremely experienced and approachable and happy to disscuss any special requirements your horse may have.
Cobham Park Stables is very secure, both of the tack rooms are alarmed, the main gate is automatic and locks at 10pm and opens at 5.30am, it is possible to make arrangements if you need to access the premises any earlier or later. Melanie also lives on site, so 24hr care is possible in emergencies.
